Iowa Royalty Ragdolls

I have a been a farm girl all my life. The love for cats started when I was old enough to get into the hay loft and bring down all the stray kittens. I have always been the one to try to save any and all sick animals. I enjoy watching veterinarian shows (Dr. Pol) & animal life shows. When I was 20 I met my very first Ragdoll and from that moment on I said someday, somehow I will be a ragdoll mama.

In 2017 our family of 6 decided it was time to add a kitten to the family. However, it couldn’t be just any kitten. A ragdoll kitten was a must, who was raised by an ethical breeder that included health testing, vet care, raised with children, dogs, and in a cage free home. Health and temperament were most important. As we searched, we quickly learned this was not going to be an easy search. As a family, we searched and searched, we didn’t find exactly what we hoped for. I always felt as if I were talking to a computer and not a real person. I wanted to get to know the family. How they started, their breeding goals why they chose Ragdolls and what kitten they thought would be a good fit for what we were looking for. We quickly realized this type of breeder was going to be hard to come by. Many didn’t have the time of day for all the questions.

Christmas 2020 6pm, I got a call that my father had unexpectedly passed at age 65. This was so hard for me and not getting to say goodbye was even harder. Over the next several months I noticed my mental health was becoming a deep dark hole. My family was very concerned.  After seeking help with my mental health and lots of prayers. I woke up one morning with what i believed was a sign from above. As I scrolled FB that early morning, I saw the perfect little bicolor female Ragdoll. She was available to an ethical Breeder. I decided to reach even though I was not a breeder. I was able to learn so much from the Breeder while she learned lots about myself & family. I truly wanted to be a ragdoll breeder but my husband was worried it would be too much at that moment with my mental health struggles. The Breeder understood & appreciated his concerns. She blessed me with a breeding quality Kitten as a pet unaltered. We had come to the agreement if I would decide to breed I would pay the additional fee for rights. If I chose to keep her as a pet, I would spay her before age one. When Bella Blue joined our family, she brought so much joy to our lives. She truly was what my heart and soul was missing. At 11 months old, we decided we were ready to take the step and purchased breeding rights. After witnessing all the love our girl shared with not only our family but our friends we wanted so badly to bless others just as we were blessed. Bella Blue has helped me with not only my mental health but emotionally as well. We truly believe she was sent from above.

I started breeding in 2021 and have blessed many families all over the US with our kittens. I am a small in home TICA registered cattery. I strive to be everything I was looking for when my search began and so much more.
